Last week

Sincere thanks to Greg Ross for his entertaining and interesting abridged auto biography (definitely want to read the book as soon as its completed) We are fortunate to have him in our club and while Greg acknowledges what Rotary has done for him, Rotary is indebted to Greg for all he has contributed and continues to do.

Past District Governor Greg Ross

gave us a fascinating review of his history and a great musical conclusion (in his inimitable style!).

Greg was introduced by our Foundation Director Rob Head
John Conte - Snowgum and Aerochute
Our Guest speaker this week is John Conte  - developer of two very diverse ventures

Aerochute Industries Pty Ltd was founded in 1989 by Mr. Stephen Conte, who identified a need in Australia for a safe, low-cost mode of air travel. In 1992 in conjunction with brother John he developed the Aerochute Dual Seater which was specifically designed for customer satisfaction and safety.

SnowGum Distillery started as a dream of 3 mates, dispersed across the globe. Their common ground was a love of the outdoors, adventure and mateship – and a small rural block in the magnificent Kiewa Valley. This provided the perfect place for juniper berries to grow and for inspiration to flourish.

Geoff's Health Tip
Coffee or Tea? Drinking both has a Synergistic effect that Lowers the Risk of Stroke

There are numerous scientific studies showing that coffee drinkers receive many health benefits covering a wide range of illnesses from liver disease, Alzheimers, multiple sclerosis and stroke to Parkinsons disease and type 2 diabetes.

But what about the tea drinkers and those who consume coffee and tea?  Many people, including my family have a cup of tea with breakfast followed by coffee mid morning, and then tea later in the afternoon or evening. This has been a family trait for more than 70 years.

Gardening Roster

After another year of lockdown  our Gardening Program has been unable to service our properties in our usual way, much to the disappointment of our owners and members alike.

However we are looking to finish off the year with some gardening jobs with a Rotary Members Team only as the student

participation is unavailable for the rest of 2021.

Please check the roster and offer some help to the small team we have available at the moment .

There are spaces for 5 on our roster, please fill it up.
