Formula 1 Melbourne Grand Prix

F1 Melbourne Grand Prix

A very popular return of the Albert Park event after its Covid hiatus! The photo with the blue vehicle in it shows end of a long line of people with the head of the line in the background at the tent. Gives a good idea of the popularity of the Rotary BBQ.

Congratulations to all involved in what will prove to be a very successful fundraising activity.

Bakhtar warehouse Noble Park
The new Bahktar warehouse in Noble Park is now operating.

We arranged last Saturday for a large range of goods to be delivered from the homes of Sue Fitz and one of our gardening clients and from our North Balwyn depot.

The venue structure is solid and quite large and, if Bahktar can negotiate a longer-term agreement with Council, they can apply for State government funding for some renovations and it can be come a valuable centre for the group.  There are two sheds behind the main building which are suitable for storing furniture and larger items before they are distributed to families.

A Rotary Safe Families Ambassador Club

- The 3 R's on your club Rotary Safe Families card are:

Recognise the signs

Raise your concerns

Refer for help.

Go to rotarysafefamilies.org.au

One sign to recognise is if you notice a person seems afraid of their partner or anxious to please them.

Don't be a bystander, say,"I am worried about you; lately you seem so unhappy"

Listen to their response without judgement.

Click on the Resources tab for videos and further information.
