From President Maurie

For our meetings at Kew Golf Club we are required to email Hugo attendingrcnb@gmail.com to confirm our attendance and that of any partners or guests.  Vaccination status of each person will be checked by staff at the entrance and facemasks are required until you are seated for drink or meal.

Last week

On Thursday just over 40 of us attended and thoroughly enjoyed the very entertaining talk by Prof Stephen Wheatcroft. Thanks to Rob Head for suggesting Stephen as speaker and for hosting so capably.
I mentioned Environment at our meeting and a website: Zero Waste Victoria (Australia) – Empowering community to reduce waste
I encourage everyone to look at the rosters for Camcare/Secondbite, Gardening, BBQing, Camberwell Market; if not to add your name, then just to see the names of members who keep these activities in motion.

Sunday Market vacancies
Members please note that you will need to complete shifts on the link attached to Grapevine (Or contact Geoff direct) - this item is designed to highlight the issue arising around later shifts at the market (You can sleep in and still do these shifts!!) :)
Rosters and the Website
Have you forgotten your password for the Club website?  Do you need a reminder for what it is?

If so, please just email Jane and she will provide it for you.  Not a problem.

This will mean you can log in and look at all the rosters for volunteering - the Camberwell Market, the sausage sizzles, the gardening and meeting rosters.

Rosters are maintained on the 'members only' part of the website as we do not want these public for everyone who looks at the website to be able to access them.

Geoff's Health Tip

Avocados are good for your eyes!

We have all enjoyed Avocados in salads and some of us have been treated to smashed Avocados on toast, but did you know that Avocados offer a little known, but important, benefit for your eyes.

New research shows that Avocados are a significant source of lutein and Avocados significantly boost lutein concentrations in your brain with corresponding improvements in cognitive function.
