Tim Ryan CEO of Lord Somers Camp and Power House gave an enlightening and inspiring talk about the history and current programs at the two locations. Thanks to Greg Ross for inviting Tim and to Jane Pennington for hosting on the night. It was also good to see Teresa, Carol and Chris who visited from Glenferrie Rotary Club.

Bump in Day

Next Tuesday 5th April is ‘Bump IN’ day for the Grand Prix, we need some volunteers, 6-8 people, to help load the trailers at the containers starting at 8:00am and then unload and setup at Albert Park.

We should be finished at approximately 1:00pm.    

Please let me know if you are able to help by email, pelliott842@bigpond.com. phone, 0419 417 334 or message.

Transport from the containers to Albert Park and back will be provided.

Members please note that the club duties roster is on the website and is kept up-to-date.

Specific duty notices are also issued to those members involved as reminders.

There have been some mix-ups in the last couple of meetings, so my thanks to those kind souls who have stepped up to fill the gaps. 

Remember there is no meeting on 7th April and the, the following meeting will be on Wednesday 13th April because of Easter.

Replace Butter with Avocado and Lower your Risk of CHD by 21%
 
In a 30 year study of more than 68,780 women (ages 30 to 55 years) and more than 41,700 men (ages 40 to 75 years) it was found that participants who ate at least two servings of avocado a week had a lower risk of cardiovascular disease compared to those who rarely ate avocados.
