IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Fellow Rotarian Geoff Kneale and Melissa have both tested positive for COVID on Thursday – they thought it was only a cold….

The message from Geoff is that they are “young and being careful but still got it. It’s a good lesson to not be complacent, especially at the supermarket”.

President's Comments

Welcome to the new look Grapevine as we start this new Rotary year in lockdown!!
The intent of refreshing our Club Newsletter is to provide Members with a concise, relevant, and easy way of keeping abreast each week of the activities of our great Club and the wider Rotary arena. Our amazing Jane Pennington has run with this facelift in recent weeks and will be our Club Editor whilst training ‘others’.
Hence, there are several articles, dates, and events where a simple click on the link will take you to the full source information, mainly on our Website. In cases where our Website has ‘Member Only’ information for security purposes, you will need your Website Username/password to access the relevant information – if in any doubt, call Jane.
The Club really owes a huge thank you to both John Skinny McBride and Peter Sutherland for producing Grapevine basically since 2005 – time to log-off for a while.
As always, any feedback for continued improvement is welcome any time. Enjoy the read, have fun exploring the linked Websites and Open Opportunities.

Cheers,  President Greg

At this Thursday’s, 30th August, Zoom meeting we look forward to the RCNB version of Would I Lie to You? We will have some members describing a scenario and a panel of three people attempting to assess whether the scenario is True or False.

Submissions for round two of The Most Creative Thing I have Done in Lockdown have already been received from Gavan Schwartz, John Mc Bride, Imre Lele, Geoff Steinicke and Rob Head. These people will share their  story of lockdown at the August 6th Zoom meeting

Further submissions are still welcome. Email your lockdown story to Estelle at ekelly2@optusnet.com.au

Additional Information
Some additional information was received from Eirene, our Guest Speaker on 16 July.  One question which was put to her after the meeting was what Rotary means to her.
