Some pictures of the contribution of North Balwyn Rotary FOR afghan refugees. These show Rowan with Haroon collecting donations of clothes shoes and toys for the afghanis currently staying in Melbourne hotels. Haroon is the representative for a group of approximately 145 afghanis, out of a total of 1300 afghanis who are in Melbourne.
Other pictures show a group of refugees at DIK who were eager to collect bicycles, wheelchairs, sewing machines, cushions sanitary products and some crockery.
As they leave hotels and find accomodation, they will require kitchen utensils and furniture.
Maybe members are able to contribute towards these needed utensils. RIMERN does not have enough for so many people.
I feel the pictures speak louder than words and these picture show not only words but true action. They certainly need plenty of help to settle in Australia.
