Christine Ahern delighted us with her presentation at last week’s meeting. Professional and personable with so many stories to share. What Christine didn’t mention…

She grew up in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast and attended the University of Queensland in Brisbane, completing a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Journalism.  In her final university year she won the award for the most outstanding journalism student in Queensland for a series of stories she wrote for the university newspaper on the shredding of documents relating to child abuse at a Brisbane youth detention centre. Christine has been awarded two Quill awards for her reporting during the COVID crisis.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of past member Ron Liner, a great contributor and fondly remembered character.  No other information available at this time.

Thanks to Jim Studebaker who did the SecondBite Camcare run Thursday morning and to Jim, Greg Cribbes, Gavan and Jane for their work on the KPMG submission.
